Monthly wellness curation has a real utility that the high-end wellness apparatus doesn't serve well — it's about consistency and maintenance rather than optimization theater. The monthly format works because it's structured enough to be a reference point and loose enough to be practical. Most wellness content fails at the maintenance level — it optimizes for the exceptional week and ignores the twelve ordinary ones that actually determine the outcome. The curation that works is the kind that acknowledges the ordinary weeks. This seems to be doing that.
Well thank you! That’s my whole goal. I’ve been in wellness for 10 years now and boy, I’ve seen it all. And have learned that performative wellness isn’t the stuff that moves the needle. Like you said, consistency and maintenance. We can’t reinvent the wheel every month, but sometimes we just need little nudges and reminders.
I so enjoyed this read em! It’s such a good reminder of the refreshment and joy that comes from choosing wellness habits that actually support you. Oh, and I love all of Carley Fortune’s books — you should add them to your TBR list :)
Love love love! Also v curious on your summer business strategy as this is something I'm currently trying to navigate with 3 kiddos about to be out of school (and I also need to work AND want to be present).
I’ll send you a post over on Insta for what I’m doing (I’m joining this little content creation “camp” that helps you have more of an offline summer while still staying consistent with your biz! And same, I work so part time over the summer and also want to be present with my kiddo too!
